There’s a lot of factors that we affiliates should always consider when deciding what online casinos to promote.

One of the most important factors that can make or break who I promote, is whether or not they have negative carryover.

A casino affiliate program having no negative carryover is such a positive and win-win situation. While it is common for people who win big at online casinos to lose it all, that isn’t always the case. Many players are still very sensible, and after a big win will not push their luck and withdraw.

If you’re promoting an online casino with negative carryover, this can be a disaster.

Something like this can affect both current and potential earnings drastically, especially if it’s a whale. You might have 6 casual players earning you about $2,000 a month on one account, then a whale comes, wins $30,000, leaves the casino and all those earnings. Now you can always negotiate with casinos in regards to this.

I’ve had situations like this before, where the casino has agreed that the player isn’t coming back, and if they want me to continue to promote them, we’ll work out a deal where they will remove the player and his losses from my account.

Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn’t, so why bother with that kind of hassle, when it’s a lot easier to just promote rooms with no negative carryover?
